Tools and Models - TR-66 Simplified Dam-Breach Routing

This technical release presents a method for estimating key characteristics of the floodwave generated by the sudden breaching of a dam. These characteristics are the peak flood flow Q_o at a predefined location in the path of the floodwave, the associated maximum depth of flow d_o, and the time lapse t_o between the breaching of the dam and the occurrence of the above two extremes.
